Welcome to HW Racetrack! Our die cast car racing tournaments are open to racers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a first-time racer or a seasoned competitor, you’ll find a safe, welcoming place to race, learn, and have fun. From kids to adults, this is something every generation can enjoy together.At our events, we value good sportsmanship, creativity, and friendly competition. Taking first place isn’t easy — every win is earned on the track. Racers compete using their own cars, and victories come from preparation, practice, and a little bit of racing luck. Each tournament is filled with excitement, and it’s not uncommon for friendly rivalries to form as returning racers chase the podium at every event. Some dedicated racers even earn the title of “Returning Champion,” complete with a special callout when they step up to race.

Most standard die cast cars are welcome. Any mainline Hot Wheels or Matchbox car is a great place to start. Some specialty releases, such as Hot Wheels Premium cars with “Real Riders” rubber tires, are allowed as well — though they tend to run slower on both the Dragstrip and the Touge. Cars that are unusually long, wide, or tall may struggle on certain layouts, so choosing the right car can make a big difference.

In general, cars with a low center of gravity perform best. Cars that are too narrow may wobble, while cars that are too wide can rub against the track walls. Very light cars may lack the momentum to reach the finish line, while top-heavy cars are more likely to flip or fly off the track. For most officially sanctioned tournaments, we set a “40-gram weight limit”, though this may vary depending on the event. Any specific weight limits will always be listed in the event’s social media post, so be sure to check before race day.

Modifications are allowed — and encouraged! As long as your car meets the size and weight requirements, it’s welcome to race. All cars compete side-by-side in their heats, making every run exciting from start to finish.
